Follow these steps to set up your accounts and get it ready to start posting.
👤 Creating a new account
- Create a new gmail account. This will be the email you create your social accounts with, so the address doesn’t matter much.
- Create a new TikTok and Instagram account using that email.
- Your handles for these accounts should be relevant to the app. examples: getovercomerapp / quitwithovercomer / overcomernofap
- Try not to use any numbers
- Set the profile photo to our logo
- Set the bio to something like this, followed by the app name/link:
- Quit 🌽, gain confidence 👉 “Overcomer” on the app store
- The all-in-one solution to quit 🌽 👉 “Overcomer” on the app store
- Put a link to the app in your bios (you won’t be able to do this until 1k followers on TikTok)
📱 Getting the app
🔥 Warming up your account:
- Before you start posting, you’ll need to warm up your account. This prevents you from having your account shadow banned and getting stuck at 0 views.
- Wait ~24 hours before uploading any videos.
- Follow a few accounts in the self-improvement/religous/nofap niches
- Tune your fyp by liking related videos so you can see inspiration when videos pop up. This is a great way to find new viral videos and formats too
- I’ve heard that a new method for warming up an account is to scroll through tiktok live and interact there as well, worth trying out
📝 Basic Content Guidelines:
- Send viral videos and formats into the group to collaborate and give feedback
- Note, you can post the same video on your TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
- Do not post multiple times within the same hour. We recommend posting 1-3 times per day spread out like 2-3 hours between posts.
